This Sportster hardtail kit is designed to fit 1982-2003 Harley Davidson Sportster models. This is a basic Sportster hard tail kit to convert a stock swing-arm Sportster into a rigid framed motorcycle with a 2" stretch. Features include solid machined rear motor mounts, laser cut axle plates and threaded axle adjusters. The hard tail is constructed of 1-1/4" .120 wall steel tube and 100% T.I.G. welded. The benefit of hard tailing your Sportster is it allows you to keep a stock VIN, avoiding difficult inspections and insurance issues that come with assigned identification numbers or "Special Construction" designations.
